Alpha lipoic acid + Methylcobalamin + L-methylfolate+ Vitamin B6 + Zinc+ chromium +selenium

Antioxidant with active form of B12 and Folic acid

Alpha lipoic acid

Alpha lipoic acid is considered a universal antioxidant, effective in both water as well as lipid medium. There is a plethora of benefits of Alpha lipoid acid.

Benefits of alpha lipoic acid:

  • Promotes the activity of other antioxidants such as glutathione and Co-enzyme Q10.
  • Prevents and improves diabetes.
  • Reduces insulin resistance
  • Helps with neuropathies.
  • Prevents cardiovascular complications.
  • Helps with weight loss.
  • Helps combat metabolic syndrome.
  • Helps lower blood pressure.
  • Decreases bad cholesterol.
  • Helps regenerate antioxidants, vitamin C and E.
  • Lipoic Acid Promotes Muscle Regeneration After Exercise.
  • Lipoic Acid Helps with Diabetes-Associated Complications.
  • Lipoic Acid Helps Lower Blood Pressure.
  • Lipoic Acid Decreases Bad Cholesterol.
  • Lipoic acid improves the quality of life in patients with neuropathies.
  • Beneficial for the Skin
  • Reduces frequency and intensity of migraines
  • Protects against cataract formation
  • Improves visual function in glaucoma
  • Slows aging
  • People with diabetes have low insulin levels in the body. Insulin useful to regulate blood sugar levels in the body. Alpha-lipoic acid helps reduce blood sugar levels in diabetics and balancing blood sugar in people without diabetes.
  • Alpha lipoic acid’s antioxidant activity action helps protect nerve health form toxicity and supports recovery from nerve injury. The antioxidant property of ALA explains its protective action in diabetic and chemotherapy induced neuropathy.
  • ALA is a neuroprotective agent i.e. it protects the brain and nervous system by strengthening antioxidant defences.
  • Lipoic acid also protect the body against toxic metal contaminants found in the environment and food supply. This multifunctional agent works by chelating these dangerous agents, such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury and rendering them inactive so that they can be removed by the body.ALA has been clinically proven o benefit in diabetic neuropathy. Combining with methylcobalamin can help improve herapeutic outcomes.
  • Preserving Bone Density: Another area in which lipoic acid holds promise is in averting the bone loss that accompanies osteoporosis and other degenerative bone conditions. This multifaceted agent may help preserve bone health by quelling the oxidative stress that threatens to degrade healthy bone density.
  • The weight problem is caused by the body’s limited ability to store glycogen, and also to the accumulation of fat in the body. The solution to losing weight is to increase the intake of glucose into muscle. Insulin is the only hormone that can do this, for the body needs something that can mimic insulin so that glucose more leverage used by the muscles. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a perfect imitator insulin. When the storage of glycogen in the body is full and insulin works to convert excess sugar as fat, naturally Alpha Lipoic Acid will soon emulate as insulin. When the sender of glycogen increases, the amount of glucose into the muscle will increase and lead to reduced fat deposits.

Folate, also known as Vitamin B, is one of the most essential vitamins.

L-methylfolate vs. folic acid

Folic acid is the most commonly found and a synthetic form of vitamin B9. The body cannot metabolize Folic Acid readily. Folic acid first needs to undergo reduction and methylation in the liver before getting converted into a folic aco derivative known as tetrahydrafolate(THF).

This process requires a sufficient amount of the key enzyme Dihydofolate Reductase(DHFR), and because DHFR maintains a very little activity in the liver where metabolism occurs, the body can only convert a small amount of THF.

This results in varying and potentially harmful levels of unmetabolized folic acid circulating your system with nowhere to go. Several studies indicate that chronically elevated levels of un-metabolized folic acid may have adverse health effects.

These include:

  • -Increased cancer risk
  • -Undetected B12 deficiency

Any folic acid or folate we ingest must be converted into its active form (L-methylfolate) to be useful. However this becomes a problem if you cannot do this conversion effectively, such as those with an MTHFR mutation.

Therefore L-methylfolate

Any folic acid we ingest must be metabolised into Dihydrofolate, Tetrahydrofolate and then finally into L-methylfolate to be used in the body. Once in this form, only then can it be transported into cells, tissues and even cross the blood barrier.

Supplementation with L-methylfolate bypasses the entire folic acid metabolism cycle.

Benefits of L-methylfolate

  • L-Methylfolate supplementation is beneficial in treating diabetic neuropathy.
  • Boosts immune system
  • Helps in depression.

Vitamin B12, also referred to as cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin.

It contributes to the successful synthesis of DNA, the normal functioning of the nervous system, and the production of haemoglobin.

Cyanocobalamin, the most stable and unnatural form of vitamin B12, is most commonly used in supplements and does not have a direct cofactor role in cellular metabolism.

Methylcobalamin on the other hand is the most biologically available form of Vitamin B12.

Hence Methylcobalamin is the most preferred form of Vitamin B12.

Methylcobalamin circulates through the bloodstream and is one of two naturally-occurring coenzyme forms of vitamin B12 that the body utilizes. The body needs B12 to convert homocysteine to methionine, protect DNA and RNA, support energy, protect nerve and brain cells, stimulate serotonin production, contribute to red blood cell formation, support immune function, and maintain a positive mood.

Other benefits of Methylcobalamin

  • It acts as an effective analgesic.
  • Is good for the skin.
  • Essential for the brain.

Selenium is a trace element and mineral that is essential for human life.[1] It is critical to many of our basic physiological functions, including protecting cells from oxidative stress and helping the thyroid produce hormones.

Benefits of Selenium

  • Selenium is a powerful Antioxidant.
  • Thyroid support. Regulates thyroid function. Selenium helps to maintain thyroid related hormones. It is an important element to convert thyroid hormones from (T4) to (T3). This is helpful for proper body functioning.
  • Improves blood flow and lowers chance of heart disease.
  • Increases longevity.
  • Anti aging.
  • Selenium boosts hair growth and reduces dandruff.

Chromium Benefits

The top five chromium health benefits are:

  • Monitors the blood sugar
  • Aids metabolism.
  • Reduces food cravings.
  • Regulates fat and cholesterol.
  • Prevents hypertension

Benefits of zinc

  • Is an Immunity booster.
  • Enhances wound healing and tissue repair.
  • Reduces stress and improves mood.
  • Prevents heart disease.
  • Increases insulin sensitivity and prevents diabetes and its complications.
  • Aids in weight loss.
  • Promotes thyroid function.
  • Boosts skin health and prevents hair loss.
